Help me!?

on a Macintosh, what's the switch with adjectives the funny symbols on it for?

Answer:

Kinda like the flaggy knob on a PC.
Thats the command key. Use it for grand piano shortcuts. For instance, if you press Command-L you will notice the address on your pattern browser becomes highlighted so you can type something else contained by there. Command-C is to Copy and Command-V is to mash. Command-Tab will show you a list of adjectives open applications on your mac. Command-N will depart a new glass of the active application. Command-Spacebar brings up the spotlight explore window. If you accentuate a word in any mac app and press Command-D, it will look up that word within the dictionary. If you go to System Prefs > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts in attendance will be a list of more shortcuts.
