If you have the recouping disks that came beside the PC just use those and reformat the PC beside them. Then your PC will be just as it come out of the box.
control panel>on the left foot menu there should be something nearly system restore
Backup your data and reformat the System next to the OS Cd's that came near ur computer. Once done, you'll have it on one and the same lines as out of the box.
what all things do u want to restore?
If its a XP system: goto start/all prog/ accessories/sys admin/sys restore.
If its a 2000: use second known virtuous configuration. This is done while the computer boots up. For windows, pressF8.
