Get closer to the source or have a free variety to the source..no walls nothing between you laptop and the transmiter. :)
Make sure that the actual wireless router is not implicit any wireless phones. While that doesn't extend the range of your wireless card, it will backing the range of the router as a total.
Is your wireless card built in or is it pcmcia? Although at hand is no way to in actuality do anything to the laptop to really extend your signal. Belkin makes a really right USB wireless adapter. It is really convenient for the fact that it have a long USB cable and you can move it around to get a better signal. You can budge anywhere who sells computer accoutrements and pick one up for $35-$45. Good luck!
