Holiday World Tycoon - error starting - please lend a hand - proper answers please no sarcasm?

Hi, im have trouble running holiday world tycoon on my laptop pc.



These are the specs it asks for on the spinal column of the box -



Windows 98/me/2000/xp

1.gh processor

128 mb ram

direct x9

cd rom drive

16mb video bump



My computer specs -

Windows xp

1.4 ghz

free space 12.5 gbs

sis661gx graphics card 64mb

and im running direct x 9.0



Any ideas?



I know that the program installed lacking any problems. This is a old winter sport it should work on my pc. The message that i procure is that it had a error starting and have to terminate the program.



I hold been on dxdiag and it say no errors found

You don't indicate the amount of RAM on your laptop but that could be the problem. Although the game lone requires 128MB, that isn't the only piece that requires RAM when your computer is running. XP, security products such as an actively running antivirus or realtime protection anti-spyware, accessible browser windows, programs such as Office products, etc adjectives require RAM as well and it could be that respectively are competing for limited system resources.
Right Click on the program statue and then hit properties At the top of that menu you should hit compatability, after try the win98/ME setting.

Give that a try & see if it works.
