i of late bought a vista upgrade for my laptop (acer aspire 3000) and when i go to install it it tell me there is no drive divider and its say that if i want one to work i own to go into command prompt and writeconvert C:/fs:ntfs or something and when that regesters it say enter current volume label i cant take any further from this point HELP

You will have to convert to NTFS you can do this at the command prompt so it will not affect the operating system you enjoy installed at the moment.Then you will be able to upgrade.Try this relationship

Volume label is the label of your boot up hard drive. If you are doing a modern installation get abet from Microsoft. Or Buy a Mac
'enter current volume label' simply means enter a christen to represent this volume. You can leave it blank and press Enter or supply any name. For example, if you hand over it 'MyDrive', it will appear as 'MyDrive (C:)' in your computer next.
Vista supports NTFS and you are Having FAT. You cant upgrade but you will have to format your primary dividing wall and install Vista fresh. Check for hardware requirements of vista.
