Has anybody next to a Toshiba Laptop have problems next to the top defence cracking subsequent to the hinge points ?

My laptop is 10 months antediluvian and the case (behind the screen)has cracked at the hinge positions.

It is merely used at home and has not have any abuse !. if anyone else have had this problem be it repaired under warranty short any hastle.

I intend to contact Toshiba next week.

Today (6th June 2007), I enjoy just discovered duplicate problem with a Toshiba laptop bought of late 6 weeks ago from from John Lewis so I'll probably end up taking it vertebrae there. However I'd approaching to know if you've had any luck resolving the problem.
Not near a Toshiba.But i am getting cracks on the top case of my Acer.Less than a year dated this one.My case is silver.
I hold had a toshiba laptop for 2 years very soon with no problems. Hopefully yours is still below warranty.

I have have to deal next to toshiba recently and i do not believe that they will repair your laptop below warranty.

The reason person that your laptop still works and the damage is cosmetic. Also they would class that as phisical sprain not a fault contained by their product.



I am not trying to be negative, you can try and beckon them. but at least immediately your expectations will not be too high, although i agree that they should do it.



Also be aware that if you run it to a toshiba laptop repair centre it will cost you rather a bit. I would suggest if you can deal wit the crack consequently do.
