Has anybody have a computer problem where on earth window have stopped working?

Yes, My Windows XP crashed a couple of months ago and a friend of mine did a systems restore and get it back but my audio is still messed up. I live passageway the hell in the middle of nowhere and not that unforced to take it to the shop. But first trouble I have with Windows surrounded by five years.
same here. had to reinstall tons times but the most common problems can be solved by booting into the cd-rom and trying to repair it from within. once you have booted to the comand prompt using your cd., try running chkdsk and afterwards the letter of your knotty drive (c:). if that doesnt work, you might need to reinstall window
