Gateway MT6707, Is it correct for video editing?

I've be looking at geting the MT6707 for my church to use for our projection system as well as to start doing video editing from cassette the service. Would this be a good laptop to do so on? The contact to the laptop is attached.

The projection software that the church uses is Media Shout.

Answer:

First of all, Gateways are tremendously good machines.

Second, this laptop looks to be pretty honourable for it. Video Editing takes up a great deal of both Memory and Storage. With 2GB of ram and 160GB of HD, you should be virtuous. The only entry i would change is that the 1.6 intel is somewhat bit on the slow side, i would go beside a AMD personally, but you should know how to live with it.
Anything Gateway should be avoided at adjectives costs. Low quality and built to fall through. It does have the specs for a obedient video editing machine. Toshiba make the best laptops and you could probably get one for a comparable price. Also a desktop would be a better choice for speed and reliability.
