Good laptop models that arent too espensive?

what are dutiful models 4 laptops that arent too exspensive

i want wirless and an ethernet adapter but nothing else too fancy what are devout ones and whats the price range and what stores

economically, I live in Fl, but the Compaq Presario C500 is a vastly good model at roughly speaking 600 with wireless. It's truly what I use every day for clear design.
Dell makes some immensely nice machines !
