For home use what is better laptop or notebook?

I have it in mind hare internet, music, downloading movies and music, maybe some word, excel, powerpoint. No games.

A laptop IS a notebook. They are alike.
They are the same item.
Two names, one and the same thing! ~
laptop and notebook are synonymous... laptops used to be luggable machines and more powerful than notebook, but that's not the case... notebook can do pretty well anything.



The things they can't do:

upgradability (TV cards, exotic processors, better video cards, lots of memory etc etc)

Decent ergonomics (screen and keyboard within the right place for you to use them without eyestrain / d¨|colletage strain / writs strain.

Really big disks



So unless you've got well-mannered reason to progress for a dinky little portable, I'd say walk for a desktop with a nice big blind. It'll be cheaper as well, only just not so easy to put within a drawer.
