The laptop have an power supply that will detect the correct voltage, depending upon the country you are located in. You may requirement to buy plugs for the AC adapter, as different countries use different plugs.
As far as wifi goes it is indistinguishable 802.11 and will probably be a good picking in most wearing clothes sized cities. Many hotels will offer it as will other places but most predictable it won't be free like contained by the US.
As long as the power supply can either be switched from 110V to 220V or is labeled from 100V to 240V you are OK. ~
